Apple and Ragi Halwa

Apple – 1 big chopped ( with or without peel)
Ragi – 3 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 tsp
Water – 1 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1 pinch
Jaggery – 2 Tbsps
Almond and Cashewnuts – 1/4cup chopped for garnishing
Grind the apple into a paste, with or without the peel on as desired and keep aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add 1/2 cup Water and Jaggery and allow to boil in Saute mode for about 5 minutes. Next add the Ragi flour into this mixture & keep stirring so that lumps are not formed. Continue in the Saute mode for about 5 minutes.
Then add Ghee and grounded Apple paste and some water into the cooking pot.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose Manual mode from the Menu option with Quick taste option & set timer to 5 minutes.
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the cooker and switch to Sauté mode. Give it a good stir till the moisture dries off the mixture.
Then garish with grated nuts.
Enjoy this Calcium rich Halwa hot or chilled.
