Black bean soup

Olive oil – as required
Onion – 1 (chopped)
Ginger - 10 gms (chopped)
Garlic - 1 (chopped)
Tomato – 1 (chopped)
black beans - 200 gm
Green chillies – 2 (chopped)
Frozen corn - 100 gm
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 ½ tsp
Red bell peppers - 30-40 gms (diced)
Peppercorns - 5 gm
Moong dal - 100 gms (soaked for an hour)
Lime - ½ (juiced)
Vegetable stock – 1 ½ litre
Water – as required
Cilantro – as required (chopped)
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add olive oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add onion and sauté until it turns golden brown in colour.
Add ginger, garlic, green chillies and sauté till raw smell goes. Add tomato, black beans, frozen corn and sauté until they turn soft.
Next add in chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well until the powders get combined. Now add pepper corns, moong dal and sauté for few mins.
Then add lime juice, vegetable stock, water and stir gently for few mins. Press cancel to stop sauté.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Manual’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 10 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Hot black bean soup is ready to serve with breadsticks.
