Chicken in rich soy sauce

Sugar- 1 cup white
Soy sauce- 1 cup
Water- 1 cup
Garlic - ¼ cup minced
Fresh ginger - ¼ cup minced
Chicken thighs – 5 pounds with skin
Green onions - ¼ cup chopped
Add water, sugar to the inner cooking pot and stir until the sugar dissolves. Further add in soy sauce, garlic, ginger and mix well.
Next add chicken, water to the pot and bring to a boil. Saute the chicken for every 5 minutes.
Allow the chicken to boil until the chicken bones are no longer in pink in color and juices run clear for about 35 minutes.
Now the sauce will turn into a rich, brown glaze mixture. Remove it from the pot and switch to keep warm or off mode.
Place the chicken on a platter and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
