Curry Leaf Chicken Curry

Curry leaf - 15
Chopped coriander leaves – ¼ cup
Green chilies- 4
Cashew nuts- ¼ cup
Coriander seeds – 1tsp
Cardamoms -3
Cinnamon stick – 1/2
Cloves 3 to 4
For curry:
Chicken 750 grams
Onions- 2 Chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Coconut milk - 1/4 tsp
Oil – 6 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves -1/4 cup
Take fresh curry leaf sprigs, rinse under running water thoroughly. Pick the leaves off and take them into a bowl.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot. Once the oil is hot add cashew nuts, coriander seeds and roast them until they turn light golden colour. Then add curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Transfer them to a grinder jar and make into a fine paste adding some water. Clean the pot and press saute mode. Add oil to the pot and let it warm a bit. Add cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon, sauté for a minute and make them into a powder.
Heat oil in saute mode again, add chopped onions and sauté until soft. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw flavour goes. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well to combine.
Add the chicken and stir well. Also add water if needed. Press cancel to stop saute.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Chicken’pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to saute mode and mix it for once. Add coconut milk, curry leaves paste and mix well. Add 250 ml of water to the gravy and cook until the gravy thickens. Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off robocook.
Serve curry leaf chicken curry with rice and rottis.
