Ingredients
Pigeon pea/ Arhar dal / Tur dal – 1 cup (boiled)
Baby potatoes – 1 cup
Capsicum – 1
Cauliflower – 1 cup
Roasted peanuts – 1/4 cup
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Ginger and garlic chopped – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Curry leaves – 8-10
Dry red chilli – 2
Salt – 1 tsp
Butter / oil – 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Steps
- Take a mixer grinder and add roasted peanuts, 3 tsp water into it and make a fine paste. Keep aside.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add 2 tbsp butter to the inner cooking pot and let it melt. Add mustard seeds and let them pop. Then add cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, red chilli, ginger, garlic and saute for 1 min.
- Add boiled dal, baby potato, capsicum, cauliflower, peanut paste and salt. Mix it well and wait for first boil.
- Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well until the raw smell go. Add some water and stir well. Press cancel to stop saute.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Dal/channa’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 12 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Give a quick stir add coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti or rice.
