Ingredients
Moong dal (yellow) – ¾ cup (washed)
Onions – ½ cup (chopped)
Tomato – 1/2cup (chopped)
Green chilli – 1 no.
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric power – ½ tsp
Ginger – ½ tsp (chopped)
Garlic – 2 tsp (chopped)
Jeera powder – ½ tsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves – 2 springs (chopped)
Salt – as required
Steps
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Add water, moong dal, onion, tomato, green chilli, turmeric powder one by one and mix well.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Manual’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 10 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Transfer the contents to a blender and once cooled, grind it to a smooth paste.
- Clean the pot and press sauté option. Add ghee to the inner cooking pot and allow it to melt.
- Add ginger, garlic and sauté till the raw smell goes. Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, jeera powder and sauté for few secs.
- Now add the ground dal, salt, water and give a good mix. Allow it to boil for few mins. Once done, switch to keep warm or off mode. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot Dal Shorba with steamed rice/roti.
