Ingredients:
Chicken - 1 kg
Thick Yogurt - 1 1/2 cup
Onions – 3 (chopped)
Cinnamon stick – 2
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Green cardamom - 8
Nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
Mace - 1/4 tsp
Cloves - 8
Red chili powder - 1tsp
Ginger and garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Salt - 1tsp
Kewra water – 1 tsp
Oil - 1 cup
Water – as required
Steps:
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Once oil is hot add onion and sauté till it becomes golden. Press cancel, remove and keep aside.
Take a blender and grind cloves, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, nutmeg, and mace to a powder. Then add fried onion to it and grind them (do not add water).
Clean the pot and press sauté mode. Add ginger garlic paste to the existing oil and sauté for few seconds.
Next add chicken, salt and continue to sauté for few minutes. Add in the red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric and mix well until they get combined with the chicken.
Now add the grinded onion mixture and mix. Add the yogurt and stir for 3 min. Later add 1 cup of water and stir well. Press cancel.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Chicken’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 10 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Finally add kewra water and give it a quick stir. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
Degi Chicken Korma is ready to serve with Rice.
