Besan Flour – 1 ½ Cup Ginger – 1-inch piece Salt – As per taste Soda-bi-carb – ¾ Teaspoon Citric acid or lemon juice – ¾ tsp Green chilies – 2 Sugar – 1 tsp Turmeric powder – ½ tsp Mustard - 1 tsp Cumin - 1tsp White sesame – 1 tsp Curry leaves – 1tsp
In a bowl mix besan flour, salt, citric acid or lemon juice, chopped ginger and green chilies, Sugar, turmeric powder with water as bajji batter. Grease an aluminum bowl with oil and keep ready.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Fill the inner cooking pot with 3cups of water. When the water starts boiling press cancel button.
Add soda-bi-carb to the besan mixture and beat well until it is fluffy add pour into the oil greased bowl and insert the bowl into the cooking pot.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Idly’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Transfer dokla to a plate.
Now pour 1-tsp oil to the cooking pot and press saute button. Add mustard, cumin, add white sesame let it splutter and finally add curry leaves.
Take little hot water in a small bowl and pour the seasoning into it. Then sprinkle the seasoning with water on the dokla. Let it soak for 5mins. Cut the dokla into pieces. Garnish with coriander leave and grated coconut (Optional).
