Eggless Caramel Bread Pudding

White Bread – 8-10 slices
Milk – 1½ cups
Sugar – 10 tbs
Vanilla essence – 1tsp
Tutty fruity/ cherry( optional) – handful
Water – 4 cups
Baking equipment – Baking tray line
Sugar – 3 tbsp
Water – 1 tbsp
Take the White bread slices (edges can be removed if required) and crumble it in a mixer.
Mix the Sugar and the Milk completely and add vanilla essence to it. Now add this mixture with the bread crumbs and keep it aside for sometime to soak. How long to soak ?
To make Caramel heat sugar and water in a heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted and golden brown. Transfer it to a baking dish immediately and spread it evenly. To this add the soaked mixture upto ¾ full. Add tutty fruity on the top ( optional)
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Pour 4 cups of water into the Robocook and wait till warms up.
Now keep this baking dish on a small steel ring or a vessel inside the Robocook so that the heat is not direct on to the baking dish.
Choose Dal mode in the Menu option and Taste option as Medium.
Close the Robocook. Keep the Presssure Nozzle in the Open position while cooking.
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the Cooker and remove the Caramel pudding. Now allow it to cool to room temperature and refrigerate for 3-4 hours. Serve chill but do not freeze.
Enjoy this Protein rich Pudding with a sauce of your choice or Ice cream.
