Jowar Rice Porridge

Jowar (white millet) - 1/2 cup
Chopped mixed vegetables - 1 cup (carrots, beans, cabbage)
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Green chillies - 2
Ghee – 2 Tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Sambhar powder – 1 Tsp
Coriander powder – 1 Tsp
Pepper powder- 1 tsp
Water – 4 and 1/2 cups
Salt to taste
Fresh Curd - 1 cup
Tomatoes - 2 tbsp chopped
Onions - 2 tbsp chopped
Coriander – chopped for garnishing
Grind the Jowar to a coarse powder in a blender.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Pour 3 cups of water into the Cooking pot and let it warm. Add Salt and the ground Jowar.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose Sambhar mode with Medium option.
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the cooker and switch to Sauté mode. Remove the cooked Jowar and place it aside.
Clean the Cooking pot and place it inside the Robocook.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add Ghee and Mustard seeds. Once the Mustard seeds crackle, add Asafoetida & Green chillies. Next add the Chopped mixed Vegetables. Then add Sambhar powder, Corinder powder and Pepper powder and saute for 5 minutes.
Now add 1&1/2 cups water & the cooked Jowar.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose Sambhar mode with Medium option.
