Steps
- To a large bowl, add gram flour, yogurt, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp coriander powder, 5 cups water into it and whisk until you have a lump free mixture. Set aside.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up
- Add 2 tsp oil to the inner cooking pot. Once the oil is hot add cumin seeds. Let them splutter and then add asafetida, dry chilly, curry leaves and saute well.
- Next add the sliced onion along with chopped green chili and cook for 2 minutes. Then add chopped ginger and garlic and continue to saute for another 1 minute
- Now add the prepared mixture into the pot and stir continuously until the kadhi comes to a boil. Add salt and saute for 15 minutes. Keep stirring it in between.
- After 15 min switch to off mode. And now make pakora.
- To a large bowl, add 1 gram flour, sliced onion, 1 chopped green chili, chopped coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds and salt. Mix it well.
- Pakora batter should not be very runny but not super thick either. Add 1/4 cup water, 2 pinch of baking soda and mix the batter for a minute using your hands. This will make the pakoras nice and soft.
- Clean the pot and press saute mode. Add 2 cup oil for fry. Once the oil is hot mix the batter again for a minute using your hands and then start dropping the batter into the hot oil.
- Let it cook and turn golden brown from one side and then flip and cook the other side. Cook until pakoras are golden brown from both sides. Drain on a paper towel.
- Switch Off mode.
- Now kadhi would have considerably thickened and completely cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves
- Enjoy tasty kadhi pakora with rice or rotis.
