Ingredients
Long grain basmati rice – 1 ½ cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Green chilli – 4
Sahi jeera – 1/2 tbsp
Green cardamom – 2
Black cardamom – 1
Bay leaf – 2
Clove – 2-3
Black pepper – 4-5
Milk – 1 ½ cup
Water – 1 cup
Saffron – 2 pinches
Garlic – 5 pods (chopped)
Green peas – 1/2 cup
Beans – ½ cup (chopped)
Carrot – ½ cup (chopped)
Paneer – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Fried onion – 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts – 6-8
Raisins – 10-15
Almond – 6-8
Apple – 1/4 cup
Oil – as required
Steps
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add ghee to the inner cooking pot and allow it to melt. Add paneer and sauté for 2 min. Once done remove and keep aside in a small bowl.
- Next add cashew nuts, raisins, almonds to the pot and sauté for 2 min. Remove and keep aside.
- Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add shahi jeera, green cardamom, blackcardamom, bay leaves, cloves, black pepper one by one and sauté for few mins.
- Then add garlic, green chilli and continue to sauté for a min. Add in beans, carrot, green peas and sauté until the veggies turn soft.
- Now add milk, water, salt, saffron and give a good mix. Next add soaked rice and continue to mix for few secs. Press cancel to stop sauté.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Pulav/Biryani’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins.
- Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling
- ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode.
- Add fried onion, dry fruits, paneer and mix gently. Garnish with apple and fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve yummy Kashmiri Pulav with raita.
