Ingredients
Grated lauki (bottle ground) – 1 1/2 cup
Gram flour – 5 tbsp
Green chilli chopped – 2
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Onion chopped – 1 small
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 cup
For gravy:
Onion finely – 2 chopped
Tomato paste – 1/2 cup
Cashew – 8 – 10
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Thick curd – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Steps
Peel and grate Lauki. Then Squeeze out the water completely. Store it aside.
To a bowl add gram flour, turmeric powder, green chilli, salt, onion, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste along with lauki and give it a mix. Divide mixture into 10 parts. Shape them into 10 medium sized balls.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Drop lauki kofta into it and deep fry until they turn golden brown and crisp. Transfer the fried balls to a plate. Keep aside.
Remove the excess oil. Add cumin seeds, onion, ginger garlic paste and sauté for few mins.
Then add tomato puree, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and sauté until the masalas get combined. Open cook for 5 min.
Add water, salt, curd and continue to cook for few more mins. Finally add fried lauki kofta and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch to Keep Warm or Off mode.
Serve Lauki kofta curry with rottis or jeera rice.
