Tur Dal – 1 cup
Onion, chopped – 2
Green chilies, slit – 4
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Sambar powder – 4 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
Water - 3 cups or as required
Curry leaf – 1 sprig
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tsp
Serve this Mamidikaya Pappu with hot rice and ghee.
