Mangalorian chicken ghee roast

For marination
Chicken – ½ kg
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Chilli powder – ½ tsp
Curd – 1 tbsp
Salt – as required
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
To grind
Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Pepper – 1 tsp
Red chillii – 6 no
Fenugreek – ½ tsp
Fennel seed– ½ tsp
Tamarind pulp – 2 tbsp
Garlic – 6 cloves
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Jaggery – 1 tsp
Take a bowl and marinate the chicken with lemon juice, turmeric powder, chilli powder, curd, ginger garlic paste and salt. Keep aside for an hour.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Dry roast the coriander seeds, jeera, pepper, red chili, fenugreek, fennel seeds in the cooking pot. Press cancel. Grind the roasted ingredients with garlic, tamarind pulp, jaggery using a blender and make a fine paste.
Press saute. Now add ghee to the inner cooking pot and allow it to melt. Add the marinated chicken. Saute for few second and remove.
In the same ghee add ground masala paste, and cook for few seconds. Then add roasted chicken. Mix well. Press cancel to stop saute.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Chicken’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 10 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Give a quick stir. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode.
Serve the mangalorian chicken ghee roast with roti.
