Mangodi – 1 cup
Basmati rice – 400 grm
Onion – 1 chopped
Tomato – 2 chopped
Green peas – 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Bay leaf – 1
Green cardamom – 2
Cloves – 2
Black pepper – 5
Cinnamon stick – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Soak basmati rice in water for 10 min. Keep aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add mungodi to hot oil and deep fry. Transfer the fried Mangodis to a bowl. Keep aside. Remove excees oil.
Add cumin seeds, clove, black pepper, bay leaf, green cardamom, cinnamon stick and saute for few secs.
Add onion ginger garlic paste and continue to saute until onions turns translucent.
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Mix well until the masalas get combined.
Next add tomato and cook until it turns mushy. Add green peas and fried mangodi. Give it a mix and open cook for few mins.
Then add water and salt .Once the water comes to a boil, add the soaked rice and coriander leaves . Press cancel to stop sauté.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Pulav’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 5 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Give a quick stir.
Serve hot Mangodi pulav with raitha and pappad.
