Ingredients:
Matki / sprouted moth beans – 2 cup
Onion, roughly chopped – 1
Tomatoroughly chopped – 2
Ginger and garlic chopped – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 6-7
Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Goda masala – 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves -2 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Steps:
- Blend the onions, tomatoes, garlic and ginger to smooth paste in a grinder or blender.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add 2 tbsp oilto the inner cooking pot. Crackle the mustard seeds first. Add the cumin and curry leaves. Saute till the cumin sizzles or changes colour or become fragrant.
- Add the ground onion-tomato-ginger-garlic paste. Stir and continue to sauté.Keep on stirring and sautéing till the oil starts to leave from the sides of the past.
- Then add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and goda masala. Stir well and cook for another 1 min.
- Now add the spouted matki/moth beans.Stir and add water. Season with salt. Press cancel to stop suaute.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘SAMBAR/GRAVY-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 5 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the method.
- TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Add coriander leaves and Give a quick stir.
- Serve the appeasing matki curry with Rotis, Bhakri, Paratha Or Bread.
