Meal Maker Uppu Kari

Dried Red Chilli - 10
Garlic – 8 cloves finely chopped
Small Onions – 10 finely chopped
Curry Leaf – 25
Meal Maker (Soya Chunks) – 25
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Pepper – 1 table spoon
Oil – 5 table spoon
Water – 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
Soya Chunks are dehydrated and defatted food item. They need to be soaked well in hot water until soft. Soya Chunks are finally rinsed well few times and then they are squeezed of to remove the soaked up water.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it warm a bit. Cut the Dried red chilli in two halves and add in the oil. Saute for few secs.
Then add crushed garlic, onion, curry leaf, soya chunks one by one and sauté for 5 minutes. Add turmeric powder, pepper, salt and stir it for 5 more minutes.
Pour half cup of water and allow it to cook until the water dries. Stir in between. After 5 mins switch off the unit.
Give a good stir and serve Meal Maker Uppu Kari with rice or rottis.
