Ingredients
Rice - 2 & 1/2 cups
Methi leaves - 2 bunches. (only leaves to be taken)
Tomatoes - 4 chopped into cubes
Garlic cloves - 20
Green chillies - 3 slit horizontal
Pepper corns - 10
Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
Oil - 4 Tbsp
Salt to taste
Water - 2 cups
Steps
Remove only the Methi leaves & wash them well. Keep aside.
Next wash and soak the rice seperately for 10 minutes.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add Cooking oil to the cooking pot and let it warm a bit. Add the crushed garlic cloves, green chillies and keep stirring for a minute till the garlic turns brown.
Then add the tomatoes and stir well. Now add the washed methi leaves and Stir well for about 5 minutes.Once the tomatoes look cooked, add the soaked rice and stir. Then add the Tumeric powder and salt as per taste..
Add water,the water should soak the rice adequately to cook. Too much water will spoil the consistency.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose Rice mode with Quick option in the Cooker.
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the cooker to fresh aromatic Methi Pulao. Enjoy this with Pickle and Raita.
