Ingredients:
Toor Dal- 50 Grams
Mung beans – 50 Grams
Black gram -50 Grams
Bengal Gram -50 Grams
Masoor Dal-50 Grams
Moong Dal -50 Grams
Onion – 2 Nos (1No to make paste & 1 to be chopped finely)
Garlic – 8 cloves
Ginger – 1 Inch
Tomato - 2 Nos
Cooking Oil – 50 ml
Ghee- 1 Tbsp
Kasuri methi ( Dry Methi leaves)- 1 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
Chilli powder – 1 Tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
Dhaniya powder – 1 Tbsp
Salt to taste
To Grind Separately:
Onion 1 No
Ginger garlic
Tomato - 2 Nos
Steps:
- Wash and soak Mung beans and black gram for 4 hrs. Grind Onion, Ginger, garlic, and tomato separately to a fine paste
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch the ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in the front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add Oil to the inner cooking pot and let it warm a bit. Temper with cumin and mustard seeds. Once it crackles adds onion paste and sautés for 5 min
- Next add ginger garlic paste, chopped onions, tomato puree, and sauté for 5 more minutes. Add turmeric, Chilli, Coriander powders one by one and cook till the oil separates.
- Now add soaked mung beans, black gram, toor dal, Bengal gram, masoor dal & Moong dal. Stir well. Finally, add the water required. Press cancel to stop saute.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in the ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and the Pressure release button should be in ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Dal/channa’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 40 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the Steps
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Crush and add 1 tsp Kasuri Methi & 1 tsp Ghee. Mix well before serving.
