Murungai Vazhaipoo Kolambu

Coconut oil – 3tbsp
Mustard – ½ tsp
Jeera – 1/2tsp
Curry leaf – 1spring
Ginger garlic paste – 1tbsp
Tomato paste – 1cup
Chilli powder – 2tsp
Coriander powder - 3tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2tsp
Garam masala powdr – 1/4tsp
Coconut paste – 1/2cup ( coconut -1/4cup+jeera – 1/4tsp+cashewnut – 5no)
Salt – as required
Drumstick – 2no
Vazhaipoo – 1/4cup(boiled)
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add mustard and jeera. After it crackle add curry leaf, ginger garlic paste and saute for for few seconds .
Then add tomato puree, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and stir cook for 2 minutes .
Now add cut drumstick and coconut paste. Saute and mix for few secs. Add 3 cup of water and stir well. Press cancel to stop saute.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Gravy’pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 8 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to saute mode. Now add vazaipoo, salt, and mix well. Let it simmer for 2 mins. Adjust seasoning and off the unit.
Serve it hot with appam and steamed rice.
