Drumstick-6
Moong Dal- 150 grams
Groundnut oil-2 tbsp
Curry Leaves - few
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 Tsp
Urad dal - 1Tbsp
Salt - To taste
To grind
Coconut - ½ Shell
Red Chilli-5 Nos
Pepper- 1 tsp
Urad dal- 1 Tbsp
Wash &cut the drumsticks into 3-4 inches of size. Wash moong dal and keep aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add groundnut oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit.Add Urad dal, Red chillies, pepper and sauté till urad dal turns golden brown in colour.Press cancel to stop sauté.
Transfer this mixtureto a blender along with coconut. Once cooled down grind to form a smooth paste and keep aside.
Clean the pot and press sauté option. Add groundnut oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add mustard seeds, Urad dal and sauté for few secs. Further add chopped drumsticks, turmeric powder and continue to sauté for 2 mins.
Next add moong dal, water, salt and give a good mix. Press cancel to stop sauté.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Manual’pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and set timer for 5 mins. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 5 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker.Press sauté option. Finally add ground coconut pepper paste and let it boil for 5 minutes.Once done, mix well and Switch to Keep warm or Off mode.
Murungaikaiporicha kuzhambu is ready to serve with steamed rice.
