Ingredients:
Broken wheat/khichda wheat – 1 cup
Mutton with bone – 1/2 kg
Mix dal (urad dal, chana dal, tur dal, moong dal, green moong, chana) - 1 cup
Fried onion (barista) – 1/2 cup
Chopped tomato – 2
Green peas – 1/2 cup
Dry coconut Powder – 3 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Khichda masala – 1 tsp
Ginger and garlic paste – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves – 3 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Steps :
- Soak wheat in a large bowl. Mix pulses in another bowl and soak overnight.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the sauté Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add 1 tbsp oil to the inner cooking pot. Once oil is hot add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, mutton and saute well.
- Add 2 cups of water, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Press cancel to stop saute.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Non Veg – MEAT’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Off mode or press cancel. Remove mutton from the pot and keep it aside.
- Clean the pot and add soaked wheat, pulses with double amount of water, 1/3 tsp turmeric powder, salt, oil, tomato and mix well.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘DAL/CHANA’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Remove the mixture from pot.
- Clean the pot and press saute mode. Add oil, ginger garlic paste and saute it for few secs.
- Then add coconut powder, all powder masala and green peas and cook it for another 1 min on saute mode.
- Next add 1 cup of water and cook for 3- 4 min. Add boil mutton, boil wheat, add coriander leaves, salt and mix well. Cook for 7 min.Give it a quick stir.
- Serve hot mutton khichda with desi ghee and fried onion topping.
