Oats - 1 cup
Dried Chilly – 1
Toor dal - 1/2 cup
Mixed Vegetables Chopped- 1 cup ( French Beans,Tomato, Carrot, Pumpkin, Brinjal, Potato)
Small Onions - 4 peeled
Tamarind Paste (diluted in water) - 2 Tbsp
Bisibela Bath Masala - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Sambhar Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Ghee - 3 Tbsp
Salt - to taste
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Ghee - 2 tsp
Cashew nuts – 4-5 chopped
Wash and soak the Toor dal for about half an hour before cooking. Soaking speeds up the cooking process.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Dry roast Oats in Saute mode for about 5 minutes. Keep it aside.
Add 3 Tbsp Ghee into the cooking pot and add Mustard seeds. Once the Mustard seeds crackle, add Cashewnuts, Curry leaves and Asafoetida.
Add Chopped vegetables and saute for about 5 minutes. Add Salt to Turmeric powder. Then add Dal and oats into the Cooking pot. Add water. Then add Coriander powder, Pepper powder,Bisibela bath masala, Sambhar masala and close the pot.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose Sambhar mode from the Menu option with Taste option as Medium option
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the cooker and switch to Sauté mode. Add Tamarind paste diluted in water. Give it a good stir till the moisture dries off the mixture. Add Ghee & Cashewnuts for garnishing.
