Ingredients:
Fresh Coconut - 1 cup grated
Jaggery Powder - 1 cup
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Rice Flour - 1 cup
Salt – a pinch
Hot water -as required
Fresh Turmeric leaves - 3
Steps:
Mix the grated coconut, jaggery and cardamom powder in a bowl. (Adjust the jaggery as per the desired sweetness.)
Take rice flour in a large plate or bowl. Add a pinch of salt and knead into a smooth dough with hot water.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Add some water inside the inner cooking pot and place the stand inside it.
Wash the turmeric leaves. Check if the turmeric leaf fits horizontally in the stand, if not, you can cut it into half. If using the whole leaf, divide the dough into 3 parts. If you have cut the leaf, divide the dough into 6 parts.
Wet your hands and take 1 part of the dough. Gently spread them in the smooth side of the turmeric leaf. Spread the dough as thin as possible. Ensure there are no holes. You can use more dough if required. If there is excess dough, wipe it off.
Once the whole leaf is covered with the dough, place the filling. Do not overstuff, else the stuffing will ooze out while cooking. Fold the leaf lengthwise and seal the edges by pinching them. Place it inside the pot.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Idly’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. The colour of the leaf will change once it is done. Remove from heat and gently peel the turmeric leaf.
Serve the patoleos warm.
