Moong dal spilt – ½ cup
Aval – ¼ cup
Country sugar – 2 cups
Milk – 1 1/2 lit
Cashew nut – 50 gm
Raisins – 50 gm
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Coconut – ¼ cup (cut into small)
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Add moong dal with 1 cup of water into the cooking pot.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Dal’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 40 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Remove the dal.
Clean the pot and Press saute button. Add ghee to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add cashew, raisin, coconut and saute for few seconds. Once roasted. Remove and Keep it aside.
Clean the pot. Add milk and allow it to boil. Now, add moong dal, mix well. Then add Poha (wash and soak for 5minutes) and allow it to cook for few minutes while stiring continuously.
Next add sugar and allow to dissolve. Finally add roasted nuts with coconut, cardamom powder and mix well.
Serve the poha moong dal kheer as a dessert.
