Bedgi red chilli – 10 no
Ginger – 1 inch
Garlic – 6 no
Jeera – 1/2 tsp
Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon – 1 stick
Cardamom – 4 no
Cloves – 7 no
Vinegar – 3 tbsp
Prawns – 1/4 kg
Oil – 4 tbsp
Onion – 3 no (chopped)
Salt – as required
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Clean and wash the prawns with turmeric powder and keep aside.
Add Bedgi red chilli, ginger, garlic, jeera, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, vinegar to a mixer jar and grind into a smooth paste. Keep aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
Next add the ground paste, turmeric, salt and open cook till the oil separates out on the top. Sprinkle required water.
Add prawns and give it a mix. Continue to open cook for 3-4 minutes. Don’t overcook the prawns. Once done, Switch to Off mode.
Serve Prawn Balchao with steamed rice.
