Pune Mutton Dalcha

Mutton – 500 gms
Turmeric powder –1tsp
Tomato chopped – 1
Salt – 1 tsp
Toor dal (broken pigeon pea) – 1 cup
Bottle gourd cut into 2 inch – 1
Tamarind paste – 1/4 cup
Onion chopped – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Dalcha masala – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon stick – 1/2 inch
Cloves – 4-5
Green cardamom – 3
Fresh methi leaves/ kasturi methi(Fenugreek) – 3 tsp
Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 3 tbsp
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add 1 tbsp oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add mutton, turmeric powder, salt, tomatoes, along with 2 cup of water and saute for 2 mins. Press cancel to stop saute.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Non Veg – Meat’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to cancel mode.
Clean the pot and add wash dal, turmeric powder along with 2 cups of water. Close the lid and press ‘Dal/chana’ pre-set menu button
Once done ensure the pressure is released and open the lid. Shift boil dal to another bowl.
Clean the pot and press sauté. Add 2 tbsp oil to the inner cooking pot. Once hot add cumin seeds, all whole spices and saute for 1 min.
Add onion, ginger garlic paste and cook it for another 2 min. Next add bottle gourd and cook for 3 min
Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dalcha masala and stir to combine. Then add boiled mutton and continue to saute for 2 min. Futher add boiled dal along with tamarind paste, salt, methi(Fenugreek) leaves and mix well.
Cook dalcha for 5 min on sauté mode and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot mutton dalcha with baghara rice or rottis.
