For the dough

Extra-fine semolina - ⅓ cup
Whole milk (or more if necessary) -1½ cup
Active dry yeast - 1 tsp
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Caster sugar- 2 tbsp
For the cream
Ricotta (optional) - 1 cup
Heavy cream - ½ cup
Whole milk - ¾ cup
Or Just replace the above three ingredients with whipping cream
Extra-fine semolina - 2 tsp
Orange blossom water (or rose water) - 3 tbsp
Chopped pistachios (or finely crushed) - ½ cup
For the syrup
Caster sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1½ cup
