Okra/ladies finger - 250 grams
Mustard oil - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 chopped
Green chilies - 2 chopped
Kalonji - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Yellow mustard paste - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1/4 bunch
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cut okra into diamond shape.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, yellow mustard paste. Mix thoroughly once the raw smell goes. Keep it aside
Clean the pot and add mustard oil to the inner cooking pot. Add kalonji, onion and saute well. Now add green chilies, turmeric powder, sugar and continue to saute.
Now add prepared masala water, salt and let it stir cook for few minutes. Check for seasoning and when the mixture thickens add fried okra. Mix it thoroughly. Further add coriander leaves. Cover cook for about 1 minute. Switch to keep warm or off mode.
Rai wali bhindi is ready to serve with rice and roti.
