For curry
Dried prawns – 1/2cup
Raw mango – 1no
For powder
Coriander seeds – 1tsp
Fennel seeds – 1tsp
Cumin – 1tsp
Pepper – 1tsp
Red chilli – 5no
White channa – 1tbsp
Fenugreek –10no
Mustard seeds – 1/4tsp
Cardamom – 1no
Cinnamon – 1/2stick
Clove – 4no
Turmeric powder – 1/4tsp
Nutmeg – small pieces
For gravy
Oil – 2tbsp
Onion – 1no (chopped)
Curry leaves – 1spring
Coconut milk – 11/2cup (thick )
Salt – as required
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add coriander seeds, Fennel seeds, cumin, pepper, red chilli, white channa, fenugreek, mustard seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, turmeric powder, nutmeg to the inner cooking pot.
Dry roast for few minutes and transfer it to a plate. Press cancel. Add the cooled ingredients, required water to blender and grind it to a fine paste. Keep aside.
Clean the pot. Press sauté. Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add onion, curry leaves and sauté for a minute.
Then add dried prawns, turmeric powder and give it a mix.
Next add the ground masala paste and open cook for few mins. Add in coconut milk, mango pieces and continue to open cook for another 5 minutes. Switch to Keep warm or OFF mode.
Serve hot Samarachi Kodi with steamed rice.
