Ingredients
Tofu-300 grams(cleaned and rinsed)
Oil-2 tablespoons
Soy sauce -2 tablespoons
Sake-2 tablespoons
Brown sugar -2 tablespoons
Rice vinegar -2 teaspoon
Red onion, diced -1/2 medium
Chopped cilantro, to garnish
Steps
- Pat the tofu dry with paper towels to remove excess water. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add the oil to the cooking pot and after the oil is hot, carefully add the tofu into a single layer .
- Turning gently and as little as necessary, sear each side for 2-3 minutes, or until at least 2 -3 sides are golden and crisped. Remove the Tofu from the cooking pot.
- Now carefully add the soy sauce, sake, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to the cooking pot and saute.
- Stir in the red onion. Cook for 30 seconds and now add in the tofu. Give a good stir and power off the cooker.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve warm or at room temperature.
