Ingredients:
Moong Dal – 100 gms
Potato – 200 gms
Carrot – 100 gms
Beans – 100 gms
Drumstick –1 No
Brinjal – 150 gms
Chow chow – 1 No
Shallots – 150 gms
Ginger – 1 inch
Garlic – 10 cloves
Green chilli- 4 Nos
Coconut Oil – 3 tablespoon
Curry Leaves – few
Coconut – 1 No
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
Urad dal – 1 Tbsp
Lemon Juice – 2 Tbsp
Salt – To taste
Cut all veggies in big cubical shape and drumstick into 2 inches size. Finely chop ginger and garlic seperately. Peel the skin of the shallots and cut into two halves & slit green chillies.
Grind the Coconut and extract milk from it. Coconut milk extracted for the first has to be kept seperately. Coconut milk extracted for the second & third time have to be kept seperately. Wash moong dal & keep it ready .
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up
Add 3 Tbsp coconut oil and let it heat a bit. Add mustard seeds & Urad dal. Once splutter add finely chopped ginger & garlic.
Add shallots, slitted green chillies, few curry leaves, turmeric powder, coconut milk extracted 2nd & 3rd time. Stir well.
Add washed moong dal, all vegetables & salt to taste. Press cancel to stop saute.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Sambhar’pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 8 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Add coconut milk extracted for the first time and let it boil for just 1 minute. Switch off and add lemon juice into it. Garnish with curry leaves. Mix well before serving.
Serve sodhi with Rice/Dosa/Appam
