Ingredients
Chicken – 1 kg (washed and chopped)
Basmati rice – 1 kg (soaked)
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Onion – 2 (chopped)
Green chilli – 6-7
Curd – 1 cup
Mint leaves – 1 cup
Green cardamom – 2
Black cardamom – 2
Cloves – 8
Cinnamon – 2
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds / sahi jeera – 1 tsp
Bay leaf – 2
Star anise – 1
Salt – 1 tbsp
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Water – as required
Steps
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add ghee to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, cumin seeds, star anise and allow it to splutter.
Then add onion, green chilli and sauté for few mins. Add ginger-garlic paste, mint leaves and continue to saute for few mins.
Now add the chicken and mix well until the chicken is combined with the ingredients. Cook for 5 mins.
Add curd and mix well. Also add 5 cups of water and allow it to boil for some time. Further add in the basmati rice, bay leaf, salt and mix well. Press cancel.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Pulav’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select ‘Medium’. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Garnish with coriander or mint leaves.
White Chicken Pulav is ready to serve with Raitha.
