Ingredients:
Basmati Rice- 1 cup
Potatoes-2
Carrot-1
Beans- 10
Ghee- 3 tsp
Onion-3
Bay Leaf-1
Cardamoms-2
Cloves-3
Cinnamon-1 inch bit
Jeera- ½ tsp
Ginger- Garlic Paste- ½ tsp
Mint Leaves- a few
Coriander Leaves- a few
Green Chillies-2
Salt- to taste
Red Chilli Powder- ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder- ½ tsp
Coriander Powder- ½ tsp
Lemon Juice- 2 tsp
Water- 2 cups
Steps:
Wash the Basmati Rice and soak it for 10 minutes. Chop all vegetables finely.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch the ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in the front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add ghee into the inner cooking pot and let it melt. Then add jeera. Once it crackles add cinnamon, clove, cardamom, bay leaf, and saute for 2 min. Add in chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
Now add ginger- garlic paste, green chilies, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and continue to saute till raw smell go.
Next add chopped potatoes, carrots, beans and saute well. Add the soaked rice and salt. Measure water and add. Stir well. Press cancel to stop saute
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in the ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and the Pressure release button should be in ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Pulav’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the Steps
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Add in lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, and give a quick stir.
Spicy veg Veg Tahiri is ready to serve.
