Aloo Soya Chunk Potato Curry

Soya Chunks – 1 cup
Potato- 4 medium sized, peeled and cut into medium size
Green chilly - 2 nos slit in the middle
Spring Onion - 4
Oil – 3 Tbsp
Bay Leaf - 2
Kalonji seeds – 1 tsp
Cloves – 2
Asafoetida – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander for garnishing
Water – 2 1/2 cup
Soak the Soya Chunks for 15 minutes in warm water with salt for 15 minutes.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add 2Tbsp Cooking Oil to the Cooking pot. Now fry the Soya chunks in Saute mode till they turn brown for 3-5 minutes. Keep aside.
Next add 1Tbsp oil to the existing oil into the cooking pot. Add Kalonji,Cloves & Bay leaf. Now add the Potatoes and fry till they aregolden brown for about 5 minutes.
Next add Turmeric powder, Salt, Red Chilly powder,Cumin poweder and Garam Masala and give it all a good stir.
Now add the Soya chunks & mix well. Next add water. Cancel the Saute mode.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘ Sambhar from the pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Strong. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Sauté mode and add Green Chillies,Coriander and Spring Onions.
