Butter Chicken
preparation time: 15 minutes | cooking time: 45 minutes | servings: 2-3
Ingredients for chicken margination:
Chicken Breast – 250 gms
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Red Chili powder – ½ tsp
Ingredients for the gravy:
Onions – 2 finely chopped
Tomatoes medium – 5 roughly chopped
Cashewnuts – 15-20 pcs
Butter – 50 gms
Sugar – 1 tsp
Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Kasturi methi – ½ tbsp
Salt to taste
Garam masala – ½ tbsp
Chicken Masala – ½ tbsp
Oil – tbsp
Steps:
- Wash and clean the chicken and cut into dices and marinate as margination ingredients given.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch the ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in the front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add the chicken to the inner cooking pot and saute for 5-6 mins. Once it is done, shift the chicken and keep it aside.
- Now add butter, once the butter starts to melt add onion and sauté till it becomes translucent. Add salt, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, and continue to sauté for 3 mins.
- Next add cashew nuts, chicken masala, garam masala and continue to sauté for another 1 min. Add water approx. 500 ml and continue simmering for 6-7 mins. Press the cancel button to stop saute.
- Transfer the ingredients to a grinder and grind it to a fine paste. Now press saute mode and add the paste to the cooking pot and stir well.
- Later add the chicken chunks, some sugar, and saute well to your desired consistency. Finally add Kasturi methi, cream, and mix well. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode.
