Ingredients:
Rice flour – 250 Gms
Jaggery – 100 grams
Coconut – 1 No
Cardamom – 5 Nos
Ghee – 1 tsp
Coconut oil- 2 tsp
Cashewnuts – 6 Nos
Plaintain leaf - 1 No
Salt - to taste
Steps:
- Make a dough with the rice flour by adding one tsp of salt & one tbsp of coconut oil using hot water and cover it with a white wet cloth.
- The consistency of the dough should be like chapathi dough. if you feel the dough is sticky you can add one more tbsp of coconut oil. .
- Grate Coconut, powder cashewnuts, cardamom, powder jaggery.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add ghee, grated coconut, powdered cashewnuts, cardomom powder and saute for 2 mins. Then add jaggery powder and mix well. Keep aside. Stuffing for Ela Ada is ready.
- Cut the plaintain leaf into small portions and take a lemon size rice flour dough which we have made already & spread it to a thin layer using coconut oil.
- Spread the coconut stuffing on the one side of the leaf and close the leaf. Press it in the corners.
- Clean the pot and add 150 ml of water to it. Place all the ela ada’s in a small plate shaped vessel and keep inside the cook pot containing water.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Idly’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
- Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Serve Hot.
