Ingredients
White bread slice – 5
Milk full cream – 1 litre
Sugar – 1 cup
Green cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Saffron – 10-12
Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp chopped
Almonds – 2 tbsp chopped
Pistachios – 2 tbsp chopped
Rose water – 1 tbsp
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Steps
- Cut the bread slices diagonally and keep them aside.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Add ghee to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Drop the cut bread slices to the hot ghee and deep fry until golden brown. Remove them from the pot and keep it aside. Press ‘Cancel’.
- Clean the inner pot and Select Manual mode. Add water, sugar, cardamom powder and saffron one by one to the inner pot.
- Let it boil for 5-6 min on manual mode. Now remove them from the pot, keep aside.
- Add milk to the pot on manual mode. When it comes to boil, add saffron, some dry fruits and rose water along with sugar and boil the mixture for 20 min by stirring it continuously.
- Once the milk thickens, Switch off the Robocook. Dip the fried bread slices in sugar syrup for 5-6 seconds. In a serving plate, place the bread slices and pour the thickened milk over it
- Garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve hot or chilled.
