Apple cake

Cake Push Pan - 7 inch
Peeled and diced apples - 3 cups (any variety)
Ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Maida / all-purpose flour -1.5 cups + 1 tbsp
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Orange juice or apple cider - 2 tsp
Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
Large eggs - 2 (room temperature)
Water - 1.5 to 2 cups
Grease and flour a 7” cake pan.
In a Bowl, add apples, ground cinnamon and sugar. Mix well and set aside.
In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt and set aside the dry mixture.
Take another bowl, whisk together oil, orange juice, sugar, vanilla, eggs and set aside the wet mixture.
Combine the wet mixture with the dry mixture in a bowl and scrape down the bowl to ensure that all ingredients are incorporated. Note that this batter is thicker than the usual cake batter.
Pour half the batter in the greased cake pan.
Since the batter is thick, allow it to spread evenly by gently tapping the cake pan on the sides.
Spread half of the apples on top of the batter. Slowly pour the remaining batter covering the apple pieces. Spread the remaining half apples on top. Cover the cake pan tightly with an aluminium foil.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Add water to inner cooking pot and place the cake pan inside the pot.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Manual’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and set timer for 40 mins. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 40 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker.
Carefully remove trivet, aluminium foil using paper towel. Allow the cake to cool on a wire rack for at least 5 minutes.
Run a knife on the sides of the cake (edges of the cake) to loosen it.
Gently push the sides of the cake pan down to release on the bottom plate.
Cut & serve apple cake with ice cream or coffee.
