INGREDIENTS:
Fish head (katla/rohu) – 1
Gobindobhog rice (jeera rice/basmati rice) – 1 cup
Potato – 2 (cut into small pieces)
Onion– 1 big / 2 medium sized (chopped)
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Coconut paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chili powder – ½ tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1.5 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Bay leaves – 2
Cinnamon stick – 1
Green cardamom – 4
Cloves – 4
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Dry red chili – 2
Sugar – as required
Salt – as required
Mustard oil – as required
Water – as required
Coriander leaves – for garnish
Steps:
Wash and soak the rice for an hour.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add mustard oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add cinnamon stick, green cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds, dry red chili and allow it to splutter.
Add onion, potato and sauté until the veggies turn soft. Then add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, bay leaves one by one and mix well until the masalas get combined
Now add fish head, rice and mix well. Also add water, salt and cook for another few mins. Press cancel.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Rice’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select ‘Quick’. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking.
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 10 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Press sauté mode. Add coconut paste and give it a good stir. Once done switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Garnish with coriander leaves.
