Onion-Spice paste:
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Ginger- 1” piece chopped
Garlic cloves- 7-8 cloves
Green Chillies, cut- 2-3
Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
For Marination:
Curd – 100ml
Lemon Juice - 1
Crushed pepper- 1/2 tsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Roasted Fenugreek leaves (KasuriMethi)- 1.5 tsp powdered
Garam Masala Powder- 3/4 tsp
Oil – 2tbsp
Chicken - 250 gms large pieces with bones (preferably leg & thigh pieces)
For cooking:
Oil- 3 tbsp
Through a blender add onion, ginger, garlic cloves, green chilli, coriander leaves and grind it a smooth paste.
Take a bowl add chicken pieces, ground paste, curd, lemon juice, crushed pepper, salt, kasurimethi, garam masalas powder, oil and mix well. Marinate them for 30 mins.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add the marinated chicken pieces and fry them until they turn brown in colour. Once done remove it from the pot.
Serve the afghani chicken with green chutney.
