Ingredients:
For besan ball
Besan flour – 1 cup
Salt – as required
Coriander seeds – ¼ tsp
Ajwain – ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder – ¼ tsp
Hing – ½ tsp
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Curd – 2 tbsp
For gravy
Ginger garlic paste –
Oil – 2 tbsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Fennel seeds – ¼ tsp
Hing – ½ tsp
Onion – 1 cup
Chilli powder – 1tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Jeera powder – ½ tsp
Curd – 1 cup
Salt – as required
Steps:
Add besan flour, salt, coriander seeds, ajwain, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Hing, ghee, curd to a bowl and mix well to form a dough. Make small besan balls and keep aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add water to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add besan balls and let it cook for 10 minutes. Once done, remove them and press cancel to stop saute.
Clean the pot and press sauté option. Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add jeera, fennel seeds, Hing, onion and sauté until the onion turns golden brown in color.
Then add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell goes. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, jeera powder one by one and continue to sauté for few secs.
Later add beaten curd and mix well. When it comes to a boil, add small sized besan balls and cook for few mins. Once done, switch to keep warm or off mode.
Serve Besan Ghatta with steamed rice/roti.
