Ingredients
For Cooking
Chicken - 500gm
Onion - 4 chopped
Tomato - 2 chopped
Coconut - 5 tsp grated
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - 2 pieces (make a pulp of the same with some water)
Oil – 4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for fry
Water – 2 cups
For Marination Paste
Ginger - 2 inch
Garlic - 8-10
Coriander leaves - 4 Tsp
Mint leaves - 4 Tsp
Green chillies – 4
Salt – 2 Tsp
Water - 2Tbsp
For Xacuti Masala
Cloves - 10
Black pepper corns - 1 Tsp
Green Cardamom- 4
Black Cardamom - 2
Dried Red chillies - 4
Bay leaf - 2
Cinnamon stick - 2
Nutmeg - 1/2
Star anise - 2
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
Steps
- Wash chicken and leave it aside. Next make a fine paste of Ginger, Garlic, Coriander leaves, Mint leaves, Green chilly in a Mixer grinder. Add 1 tsp of Salt along with 3 tsp of water to make fine paste.
- Now apply this paste to the Chicken and leave it aside.
- Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
- Saute all whole spices marked under Xacuti Masala for 4 minutes in Saute mode. Let this mixture cool for a bit and then grind them in a Mixer grinder to make a fine powder.
- Continue in the Saute mode, and fry half chopped Onion and grated coconut & fry it well for 4-5 min. After that let it cool down and make fine paste using water.
- Continue in the Saute mode. Add oil and onion & fry it for 2 min. Now add Chicken and fry it for about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add Red chilli powder, Turmeric powder & 3tsp of Xacuti masala and fry well. Later add Tomato and saute it for about 4-5 minutes.
- Now add the Onion and coconut paste & stir well. Add some Tamarind juice, Coriander leaves, Salt and stir well for about 5 min. Then add 2 cup of water and mix well.
- Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
- Press the ‘Chicken from pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
- After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
- Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods. Now TWIST and Open the cooker.
- Switch to Sauté mode. Add Coriander leaves for garnishing.
