Ingredients
For paste
Coriander leaves - 1 cup (chopped)
Ginger - 1 inch (peeled)
Green chillies- 2
Garlic cloves- 6
Salt - as per taste
Water- 3 tbsp
Oil- 7 tbsp
For cooking
Fresh green peas - 1 & 1/2 cup (crush it coarsely)
Oil- 1 cup
Potatoes - 3 (peeled & wedged)
Asafoetida- 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
Coriander seeds powder- 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder- 1 & 1/2 tsp
Dry mango powder- 1 tsp
Water- 1 cup
Green peas - 1/2 cup (boiled)
Steps
Add coriander leaves, ginger, green chillis, garlic, salt, water, oil and grind it using a blender to make it a fine paste. Keep it aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the sauté́ button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and let it splutter. Further add turmeric powder, tomatoes until the tomatoes turn mushy and saute for 2 minutes
Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and give it stir for 2 minutes. Add in the ground paste and stir it for 2 minutes.
Next add the green peas and mix well. Now add potatoes, water and allow it to open cook for 10 minutes. Stir in between. Once cooked, switch to keep warm or off mode.
Serve the ‘mattar ka nimona’ with rottis.
