Indian Style Chicken Soup

Chicken – 4 pieces of Chicken Drumstick
Pepper powder – 1tbsp
Ginger Garlic paste- 2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cooking Oil – 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp
Dry chilly – 1 big size
Urad dal – 1 tsp size
Curry leaves - handful
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 1/2 tsp
Onion – 3 Medium size
Tomato – 3 Big size
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 21/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Chilly powder- 1 and 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder- 1and 1/2 tsp
Water – 1 – 1 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Marinate the Chicken with Salt, Pepper powder, Ginger Garlic paste for about 15 minutes.Grind the Tomatoes and Onions in a mixer & keep aside.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add Ghee and Cooking Oil to the inner cooking pot and wait for few sec to get heated. Now add Cumin seeds, Urad Dal, Curry leaves and wait till the Cumin seeds splutter. Then add the Ginger Garlic paste & stir for about a minute.
Add the Chicken pieces and stir in for 2 minutes so that the Chicken is slightly fried. Add the ground Tomato & Onion paste & stir.
Add Salt, Pepper, chilly powder, Turmeric powder, Garman masala, Coriander powder. Keep stirring for a minute.
Add water such that all ingredients get covered. Water can be adjusted as desired. ( Add more water if you need the soup to be thinner)
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose the Non Veg mode under Chicken, with the Quick option.
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the cooker and switch to Sauté mode. You can 1 tsp rice flour diluted with water if you want to thicken the soup. Stir the soup well for 1 minute.
Savor in to this Indian style chicken soup with some crispy Masala Pappad.
