Moong Dal Millet Kitchadi

Moong dal - Half cup
Little millet -1 cup
Coriander leaves – handful
Salt - a pinch
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Spinach – small cup leaves
Red Capsicum - half cup chopped
Onion – 1 big chopped
Bay leaf -1
Pepper pods - few
Ghee- 2 Tbsp
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - handful
Asafoetida – a pinch
Red chilly – 2
Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press The Saute' Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add Ghee and Mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add the Cumin seeds, Bay leaf, Curry leaves, Asafoetida, Red chilly and stir till they fry a bit for about 1 minute.
Next add Onion and cook till it turns light brown. Then add spinach and a pinch of salt. Keep stirring in Saute mode for about 5 minutes till you see the water separate from Spinach.
Add capsicum and Moong dal and continue to stir fry in Saute mode for a 2-3 mins. Add Turmeric powder, Salt & Coriander leaves. Next add the little millets and add 1 and 1/2 cup water.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘Close’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Choose Idly mode with Medium option.
Pre-Cooking will happen for few seconds and once the cooking is completed 3 Beep sounds will be heard and it will automatically switches to keep warm mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Open the cooker and switch to Sauté mode. Garnish with Ghee and Corinader leaves.
