Tariwala Chicken

For marinate
Chicken – 1/2kg
Curd – 1/2cup
Salt – 1tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2tsp
For paste
Cumin seeds – 1tsp
Cardamom – 3
Clove – 3
Cinnamon – 2 stick
Onion – 2 (sliced)
Ginger – 1inch
Garlic – 6
Tomato puree – 1/2cup
Red chili powder – 1tbsp
Coriander powder – 2tsp
Cumin powder – 1tsp
Garam masla powder – 1/2tsp
Kasthuri methi – 1tsp
Amchur powder – 1/4tsp
Oil - 6tbsp
Marinate the chicken with salt, turmeric powder and curd. Keep aside for 20 minutes.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add oil to the inner cooking pot and let it heat a bit. Add cumin seeds, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, onion, ginger and sauté for few minutes. Press cancel and allow it to cool. Transfer the contents to a blender and make a smooth paste.
Press sauté. Add some more oil and allow it to heat a bit. Add the ground paste and sauté for few mins. Then add tomato puree and continue to sauté.
Then add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder one by one and mix well until the masalas get combined.
Now add in the marinated chicken, ½ cup water and mix well. Press cancel.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Manual’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 10 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Add kasthuri methi, amchur powder and give it a good stir. Once done switch to Keep warm or Off mode.
