Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Sauté́ Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add 1/2 cup of white rice, 1/2 cup of water to the cooking pot and let it boil for 10 minutes (partially cooked). Press cancel. Let it cool and set aside.
Add beef, pork, onion, garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, parsley, salt, pepper, along with rice, in a large bowl and mix well.
Once combined, form balls that are approximately 1 inch in diameter, and place on an idli tray.
Clean the pot and add 2 cups of water in the cooking pot. Place the idly stand inside the ROBOCOOK.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Idly’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 15 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods.
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Remove and keep aside. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode.
Separately, blend tomatoes, garlic, onions, oregano, paprika, cumin for the salsa in a blender and keep aside.
Clean the pot and press saute. Add 1 tsp of olive oil and let it heat a bit. Add the blended salsa and mix well.
Add potatoes and allow it to cook for 5 mins. Now add celery and the cooked meat balls. Add salt and pepper as required. Let it open cook for 20 mins.
Stir in between. Once done, keep warm or off mode.
Serve the Mexican meatball rice with beans and tortillas.
