Ingredients:
Mutton – 1kg
Ghee – 8tsp
Onions – 4 (chopped finely)
Tomato-6 (chopped finely)
Dry ginger powder-2tsp
Ginger – 3tsp (grated)
Garlic - 2 Tbsp (crushed)
Bay leaf - 3
Green cardamoms - 4
Black cardamom - 1
Cinnamon -1
Whole Cloves-4
Cumin seeds – 1tsp
Coriander seeds -1tsp
Mace flower -1
Red chilli powder – 1tsp
Salt - to taste
Steps:
Clean and wash the mutton. Cut into clean pieces
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the Saute Button in front dashboard and wait for 30 secs for the inner cooking pot to get heated up.
Add ghee to the inner cooking pot and let it melt. Add bay leaf, crushed khada masala and saute for a few seconds. Next add onions and saute till they are translucent
Now add mutton followed by ginger and garlic. Saute till mutton is well browned and add coriander powder, dry ginger powder and red chilli powder. Stir to combine and add tomatoes and salt.
Keep stirring and cook for about 2 minutes. Crush green cardamoms, black cardamom, cumin seeds, cinnamon, clove, mace in a mortar and pestle. Crush it just enough for the spices to release their flavours. Add the masala and stir.
You need to bhuno the mutton in masalas. Keep sprinkling water if the masalas start to stick to the bottom of the pot. Add about a glass of warm water to the pot. Press cancel to stop saute.
Place the closing lid over the top, Turn and place the Pointer in ‘CLOSE’ Position. Ensure the lid is firmly closed and Pressure release button should be on ‘DOWN’ Position.
Press the ‘Manual’pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Medium with 20 min timer. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARMmode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Give it a good stir.
Serve this tasty Mutton curry with roti or naan.
